Rohit Sharma forgets the name of a teammate who did not make the playing eleven in the first match against Afghanistan.
Rohit Sharma Forgets Name Of Teammate At Toss, Hilarious Video Goes Viral
Team India captain Rohit Sharma hilariously forgot the playing eleven that his team chose for the first T20I against Afghanistan on Thursday (January 11). India won the toss after eleven games with three different captains recently, and Rohit chose to chase first against Afghanistan in the two countries' first bilateral series. Interestingly, Rohit Sharma returned as India's T20I captain after 14 months.
"I wasn't on the team for the entire year, but I've been talking to Rahul bhai about what we're doing to better understand what we need to do as a group. Winning is the most important aspect. Rohit informed Kartik, who was conducting the toss with the two captains and the match referee, that Sanju Samson, Avesh Khan, (Yashasvi) Jaiswal (who did not pull up well), and Kuldeep would not be playing.
He took a long pause while attempting to recall the third player left out of the playing XI, eventually recalling Kuldeep Yadav's name. This is not the first time Rohit Sharma has blanked out during the toss. Last year, he forgot about his decision after winning the toss against New Zealand in an ODI in Raipur.
